Hostel “Izvor” has an ideal position for all those who want to try this sport. The place Smokovac, in the center of which the Hostel is located, has become a very interesting terrain for all climbers who like sport climbing.

The rocks in this region offer the best opportunities for climbing shorter, sport routes, as well as longer routes up to 120 meters high, both because of their attractiveness and good quality, as well as because of the proximity and ease of access. The rocks are limestone type, gray and yellowish in color.
The climbing season starts at the end of winter (February, March) and lasts until late autumn (November, December), although climbing can be organized throughout the year, except for the coldest winter and hottest summer days. In the summer months, you should pay attention to snakes. The potentials for climbing and equipping routes are not as nearly used as they could be. There are several sectors (blocks).
